Ready for action

CSIR TuksBaja is getting ready for the competition on the 15th and 16th of October 2010 at Gerotek test facilities, Pretoria-west, South Africa. Just doing some finer tuning and getting the car in a showroom condition. Come support us on the 16th October for the 4-hour endurance race, entry is free! See you there!

Testing was a huge success, lots of progress was made. Another step closer to getting our CVT tuned.

1-25 July 2010 - Testing
CSIR TuksBaja enjoyed a month of testing and pushing the vehicle to the maximum. Testing new concepts and implementing them

13 - 20 June 2010 - Baja Camp
The annual Baja camp, near Swartruggens in the North-west province, where we will prepare for the competition in October.

2-3 June 2010 - Testing
The team went for two days of extensive testing at Gerotek, Pretoria-west. Good progress was made, thanks to everyone who helped. Thank you to Piet van der Schyf for letting us do testing at Gerotek.

24 May 2010 - Exams
Exams officially started for everyone. Good luck!

15 May 2010 - Openday
The annual openday that the University of Pretoria host for prospective students interested in studying at the University of Pretoria.

11 May 2010 - Work session
Our weekly sessions continue.

22 April 2010 - Vehicle testing
The start of testing. The vehicle will be equipped with test equipment.

17 April 2010 - Semester Tests
The following week academics will get the privilege above Baja.

13 April 2010 - Photoshoot
TuksBaja used this occasion for a photoshoot and some fun.

9 April 210 - First run with vehicles
Both the vehicles drove for the first time today, it was a benchmark for TuksBaja finishing their vehicles so early in the season. This was the last day of the vacation aswell.
